MoreIn 1943, Pieter Boekestijn, the original founder of the company, registered as a trader in second-hand market gardening supplies and supplies with the Chamber of Commerce. Since 1947 the company has been located at the Maassluiseweg 1 in Maasland and the trade has been expanded with second hand motorcycles, cars and boats, combined with a car shovel.
With the passing of the years, the number of crane vehicles was growing and, in addition to salvage work, hoisting work was also being carried out for the companies in the area.
In 1970 the company of Pieter Boekestijn is split. Pieter Boekestijn remains involved in the car trade. Son Nico takes over the current junkyard and tire trading and son Dirk has the company registered under his name as hoisting, hoisting and recovery company. With the purchase of a 7 tonne and fairly shortly thereafter an 18 ton Coles crane, he took the step to what is today Kraanverhuur D. Boekestijn BV.
The work is constantly expanding, both in the petrochemical industry and in the construction sector, and the crane park is growing very fast. In 1976 a 100 tonne hydraulic crane, then the largest hydraulic crane in the Netherlands, was added to the then 12 cranes.
