Something Missing?

A range of large scale diecast models by Matchbox, introduced in 1971 as successor to the previous King Size range, from which it is distinguished by the fitting of wire axles and Superfast wheels.

Originally this range was devoted only to trucks and construction vehicles, while models of passenger and racing cars were called Speed Kings. In 1979 those two ranges were combined under the Super Kings name.

Originally this range was devoted only to trucks and construction vehicles, while models of passenger and racing cars were called Speed Kings. In 1979 those two ranges were combined under the Super Kings name.

The Super Kings name was last used in 1992. Thereafter some former Super Kings castings were re-grouped in various themed series, but this was rather short-lived, and the last traces of this range had vanished by 1996.
