Something Missing?

Ashton made mostly large white metal fire trucks and older cars like the Ford Model A. Ashton Models was founded in the USA at the beginning of 1983 by Gerhard Klarwasser. He chose the name after the historic part of Cumberland, Rhode Island, where he had his workshop and where he produced hand-crafted models of fire engines and other trucks.  He sold them through his mail order buisness, Toys fo Collectors (TfC).

From drawing documentation, through casting molds, painting, production of accessories, tires and decals, legends of American "fire engines" were created. He paid the most attention to the Ahrens-Fox and Mack brands. The basic model line, which usually has 150-250 pieces, is complemented by special Gold Limited Edition models (marked G) with hand-painted details. These models (50-100 pieces) have certificates.
