Now retired, he has been able to indulge his passion tracking down and listing vintage aircraft and Bentley and Rolls-Royce motorcars. A historian rather than a technical expert, he has developed a huge database which has enabled him to self-publish many books, including the Complete Classics series of Rolls-Royce and Bentley books. He is the proud owner of a 1954 Bentley R-type Hooper "Empress".
