In 1892 in October Christian Carstensen, born 1867 in Hüllerupfeld, founded a haulage company in Flensburg, Harrisleer Straße 42, with a horse and a trolley. The company was relocated to Harrisleer Straße 5 and extended to several horse-drawn carriages by 1912. The furniture, wood, building materials, coal and bricks were transported. 

In 1912 , the company moved to a farm to Altholzkrug. From there, the haulage business continued to operate in addition to farming with several horse teams.

In 1935, the first Ford BB LAstzug was purchased and used in addition to the horse and cart for the transport of road materials and wood.

In 1982, the haulage company was relocated to a new premises with workshop and office in Altholzkrug. 

In 1984, the company was transformed into a GmbH & Co. KG, in which now also in 1952 born eldest son Hans-Peter Carstensen joined as a co-owner. Through the development work of the following years, the business grew steadily. Over the years, extensive warehouses and offices were built on the premises.
