R. Collett & Sons (Transport) Ltd was formed as a limited company.

In 1985 due to growth, the company obtained a two-acre site in Keighley, meaning the company now operated from two sites and allowed for the expansion of the Heavy Transport side of the business. In 1998 both depots were consolidated on a five-acre site at Victoria Terminal, Albert Road in Halifax, which also enabled the company to provide Heavy Lift and Warehousing facilities. Business in the transportation of wind turbines increased, while the Consultancy aspect of the business was launched.

The company now employs over 130 people across three depots and runs a fleet of over 60 trucks and 120 diverse trailers. They provide all the equipment associated with Heavy Transport, Heavy Lift, Marine, and Consulting Services on a worldwide basis for the Renewables, Aerospace, Power Generation, Heavy Engineering, Oil & Gas, and Civil & Infrastructure markets.
