Something Missing?

1/43 resin handbuilt models by Jerry Rettig.  Based in Tuscon, Arizona. Many are reworked diecast models using new resin parts or entire bodies.  Sub-brand names were used for a short period, including Custom, Saguaro, Mesquite and Cholla.  A series of pace cars and of hearses/limousines (professional cars) were made as well.  From just a few to 50 were made of each model.

The 37 Packards used the Solido 37 Packards as parts donors and had the highest production quantities made. The 47 Chryslers used Solido 47 Chryslers as parts donors. The 35 Fords used Rextoys 35 Fords as parts donors. In each case, a new resin body and, for longer wheelbase cars, a new resin chassis was used.

For all the other models, all the individual parts were mastered, cast, and then chrome-plated as required. Some wheels and most tires came from Precision Miniatures. Most castings were done by Richard Carlson. Chrome plating was done by Chrome Tech USA. (Jerry Rettig, 2022)
