Something Missing?

Gebrüder Markewitsch GmbH was founded in 1946 by Johann and Andreas Markewitsch. Initially, the company founders dealt with the elimination of the war damage in the city of Nuremberg and the transport of building materials into the city. Caused by the economic miracle, a rapid expansion of capacity and a shift in the focus of activity focused on the transport of cement with special silo containers.

In 1964, the founders of the company orientated themselves on a new field of activity: the mobile crane. Now a rapid development took place: The first lattice boom car crane 1964 followed 1967 very quickly the first telescopic crane. Then the first 125 ton telescopic crane in 1978 and the first 300 ton telescopic crane in Franken in 1986 with the first 500 ton telescopic crane in 1992, another milestone in the company's development.
