Glenn "Fireball" Roberts is considered a founding member of NASCAR and was named one of the sport's 50-greatest drivers in 1998. Roberts earned 10 wins (including the 1962 Daytona 500) and 122 top-10 finishes. NASCAR inducted him into its hall of fame in 2014. Roberts succumbed to the wounds he sustained during an accident in 1964 at Charlotte, N.C.'s, World 600.
