Guisval

Brand

Something Missing?

This Spanish diecast firm was established in 1962. Their early miniatures are reminiscent of Matchbox with some bearing resemblance as knock-offs. Throughout the years, Guisval's roster has included cars that are familiar to their native country such as the Seat. A variety of vehicles include race cars, commercial and emergency vehicles. Early production included some that were plastic bodies with rubber tires fitted around silver hubbed axles. These were sold in clear plastic display boxes suited for display. Speed type wheels and suspension were later employed in the castings. During the 1970s and early 1980s, these were sold as "Coleccion Campeón" with a diminutive colour catalogue attached to the base. There were also "Chiquival" models for small children identified as "Coleccion Chiquicerilas". Most recent products include themed series of rally cars, construction and emergency vehicles. A particular wheel type provided on the rally cars is very much like a design from early 1990s Hot Wheels ("Ultra Hots").
