Halvor Lines

Shipping Company

Something Missing?

Halvor Lines, Inc. was founded in 1968 when five partners started hauling snowmobiles for Halvorson Equipment Co. of Duluth, Minnesota. After almost 10 years, one of the partners, Bill Vinje, bought out the other owners and between 1977 and 2001 Halvor Lines grew from 35 units to 200.

The company is still run by the Vinje family, and operates more than 350 power units and more than 900 trailers. They recently opened two new terminals: one in South Bend, Indiana, and another in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. These locations increase their ability to transport commodities throughout continental United States (including Alaska) and Canada.
