Something Missing?

The family owned business of J R Adams is now into their third generation. As part of the Tyneside haulage scene for over seventy years, they currently operate a fifty-strong fleet on warehousing, distribution, and general haulage throughout the UK.

The company founder, James Robertson Adams - or Jakey as he was normally called - relied on traditional horse power for his first coal round in the Eastern suburbs of Newcastle and later bought only British vehicles which became the Adams standard.

J R Adams purchased two EFT ECT Olympics in 2004 and the truck modeled is dedicated to Mr. Joe Bell, who after 60 years of service with the company, sadly passed away in 2004.
