Between Nuremberg and Bayreuth on the edge of  Switzerland lies Neuhaus an der Pegnitz. Over the town of Neuhaus proudly stands the medieval castle of Veldenstein. Inside this castle is the brewery where Veldsteiner beer is brewed. They are the largest private brewery in the state of Nuremberg.

Although they are considered as a medium-sized regional brewery, Kaiser Bier has found its lovers far beyond the domestic borders and is now being exported to several countries such as Italy and France.
