The Dairy Delivery, designed by Phil Riehlman, debuted in the 1998 First Editions series. It is loosely based on the Divco Dairy Truck which was produced from 1926 to 1986. In 2008 the Dairy Delivery was voted as number 22 of the Top 40 Hot Wheels of all time. This casting is very popular with customizers due to the large surface areas to apply their graphics/designs and with racers as it is heavy.
The Dairy Delivery was also the base for four other castings:

This casting was designed by Phil Reihlman and first released in 1996. It is based on a Volkswagen T1 Transporter panel van, with the T1 body mounted on a drag racer chassis. The body is hinged at the front of the chassis and can tip forward to reveal a driver seat in a roll cage and a massive engine mounted in the center. A large tailpipe extends out the back of the vehicle.
The Drag Bus is one of the heaviest Hot Wheels castings. Due in part to its weight, the 1996 First Editions release was only time it has been issued as a basic Mainline model. The casting has been popular as a "premium" release, often with rubber "Real Riders" tires. It has also been popular with customizers, who make use of the large flat surfaces to add artwork.
There are a few other versions of the VW Drag Bus, including one with windows and a monster truck.
