Founded in the late 1940s by E. Keil in Wickford, Essex, UK, the Keil Kraft brand was initially a manufacturer of balsa wood flying aircraft models. From the mid 1950s, they were among the pioneers in the injection molded plastic model kit world, but, like so many others, folded in the 1990s due to consumer taste shifting to other hobbies.
They manufactured a vast array of model aircraft, ship, and vintage commercial vehicle kits, mostly in 1/72 scale.
Keil Kraft was relaunched in 2018 by Ripmax Ltd and resumed making rubber band powered flying aircraft models.
