Kenny Bernstein (September 6, 1944-Present) is a race car driver in drag racing and NASCAR.
He was the first driver to break 300 M.P.H. in the standing start quarter mile, which earned him the nickname "The King of Speed". He owned the NASCAR team King Racing from 1986-1995.
He originally retired in 2002, but came back to finish the season after his son Brandon, who was also on the team, broke his back. He made a brief return to Funny car to run the team in 2006 until 2011, before leaving drag racing completely, as both a team owner and driver.
In 2012, he was inducted into the Diecast Hall of Fame when he was awarded an Automotive Legends Award.Less
