KLG Spark Plugs

Something Missing?

KLG Plugs was founded by Kenelm Lee Guinness, who was an avid car racing fan and who was not impressed with the spark plugs available to him in the early 1900's.

Kenelm decided to make higher quality spark plugs by figuring out the best insulation for the spark plugs. He finally figured out that mica worked better than the procelain which was then commonly used. Thus production of his own spark plugs began. By the end of World War 1, KLG was famous for being the worldwide aviators of the spark plug that was used in almost every motoring achievment.
