Larry Bird

Larry Bird was a three-time NBA MVP forward for the Boston Celtics between 1979 and 1992. Bird earned MVP honors in two of Celtics three world titles during that span and was a 12-time NBA All-Star. A member of USA's gold medal-winning 1992 USA Olympic "Dream Team," Bird was the NCAA Player of the Year in 1978 for Indiana State - where he battled Michigan State's Magic Johnson in an epic finals matchup. After retiring, Bird went on to coach the Indiana Pacers, earning NBA Coach of the Year accolades in 1998. Currenly, Bird is the President of the Pacers' organization.
