Around 1960 Lone Star struck a deal with Tootsietoys to manufacture a range of 1:50 scale replicas of current American cars. ... ... Among the features were quite a few which had not appeared on Lone Star cars before, such as plated window glazing, suspension and plated parts. Neither the cars nor the early boxes carry any reference numbers but the catalogue lists them in a sequence from 1470 to 1482.
