Monti System

In the mid-1980s, the Czech toy manufacturer Monti System started producing a range of plastic snap-together kits, including commercial vehicles in 1/35th (Land Rover and Renault Trafic in many different liveries) and 1/48th scale (various Tatra and Liaz trucks, but also models of Western European and American trucks and buses). A 1/28th scale model of a Renault 5 Turbo was also released in this range. In the early 1990s, a series of 1/48th scale diecast metal kits was introduced under the name of "Monti Metal". Two models of Czech cars were made in this series, a Skoda Favorit and a Tatra 613/623.
