The Raise-Up Metalworks company, based on the Heiligerleelaan in Rotterdam, made airplane models for major airline companies for promotional display at their travel agents. Their World's Sales Agents were The N. Defilippes Company, Plane Model Division, in New York, NY. Raise Up was specialised in full-metal commercial airline models, which were made at different scales. Their clients included KLM, for which they produced models of their Lockheed Electra, Super Constellation, DC-8 and Vickers Viscount aircraft, Lufthansa (Boeing 707, DC-8), Swissair (Convair 990, DC-8), Ethiopian Airlines (Boeing 707) and many others.
Their last model was produced in about 1964. The company was taken over by Matthys Verkuyl in 1967 or 1968 and some of Raise Up's personnel moved from Rotterdam to work in Verkuyl's workshop in Badhoevedorp.
