Rosenbrauerei

Newspaper documents prove that the name Rosenbrauerei presumably already in the early nineties of the previous century. Also a full-page advertisement in the Pößnecker newspaper of 3 February 1896 it is already called "Richard Wagner, Rosenbrauerei". In the turn of the century, the Pößnecker brewery produced about 33,000 hectoliters of beer. That the Wagner, whose family chronicle in Pößneck, by the way far into the Middle Ages, always open to the new, is documented by a document from the year 1900. Richard Wagner is the initiator of the first telephone network in Pößneck number one.

Not only in the distance there were innovations, but also behind the gates of the Rosenbrauerei there is so much, so the new brewery museum was inaugurated on 10.08.2002. The new rooms are open to visitors much interesting about the history of the brewery and the beer production. The Technical Director and Braumeister, Mr. Bley, many also known through numerous lectures, breweries and excursions into the world of beer brewing, became after his 33-year anniversary of the company on 22.10.2002 in his well-earned retirement. Mr. Jens Unglaub is now a new technical successor Head and Braumeister in the footsteps of his predecessor. A good beer and a well-groomed gastronomy are certainly in a close relationship. This is how the Rosenbrauerei numerous inns and hotels. Among other things the rooms of the "Waldhotel am Stausee" in Unterwellenborn were completely renovated. Since 2000 the inn »Lothramühle« has also been a part of Rosenbrauerei and as a newest addition to the popular excursion destination »Linkenmühle«, both at the Hohenwarte-lake, where in the near future again a gastronomic operation. In 2001 the varieties Rosen Pils andBlack Rose the Biertest in the Weihenstephaner Institut. This with success in silver and gold.
