Stock Car Miniatures (SCM) is a trade mark of the rarest American made 1/64th scale NASCAR die cast ever sold.
SCM was one of the very first to produce 1/64 scale NASCAR diecast miniatures, a small manufacturer, they produced a number of different issues using their own molds and decals in a kit form. Long before Racing Champions and others came on the increasing popular NASCAR miniatures scene. The bodies were very crude by todays standards, however once assembled they captured the look quite well. Later issues used bodies supplied by ERTL but still used SCM generated decals, with most in kit form and a few as finished assembled issues. Many rumours have been floated concerning the demise of SCM ranging from Licensing issues to competition from Racing Champions Inc and ERTL. Today it is rare to find any of them in built form or still as unbuilt kits, A Catalog was produced but quanity's are unknown.
