Two Packs

Matchbox | Series

Something Missing?

The original first series of packs containing two Matchbox Miniatures models each, most of them in liveries which were not normally available as singles. Introduced in 1976.

Several older castings, mostly of trailers, which had been phased out from the basic range before were re-activated for use in this range and were given new numbers above 800 for internal identification. This was the birth of what became known as MAN numbers later on.

In 1979 the Two Packs range was renamed Matchbox 900, to reflect the inclusion of models of semi-trailer trucks which would not have fitted the notion of "two packs".
