Willy Wonka is a primary character from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the 1964 children's novel by British author Roald Dahl. Wonka is a reclusive owner of the most famous and secretive candy factory in the world. Wonka arranges a contest with five golden tickets to be sent out across the world in random chocolate bars. Whoever finds the tickets will be allowed to tour the factory with one guest.

Dahl's tale was adapted into a 1971 film, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, where he is portrayed by Gene Wilder. Wonka is voiced by James Arnold Taylor in the 2005 video game Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. In the 2005 film adaptation, also named Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Wonka is portrayed by Johnny Depp. In the 2023 prequel film, young Wonka is played by Timothy Chalamet.
