Matchbox Miniatures Ad - Can your car complete the most difficult test track in the world? (1970)

A Matchbox Miniatures ad which was issued in the fall of 1970 in several different comics, several different countries and several different languages.

Some then new Superfast models were shown in comparison with a supposedly non-Superfast car which failed to complete the test track.

In earlier ads, the non-Superfast car chosen was a Matchbox regular wheels 75A Ford Thunderbird, whereas in later ads a generic design was used. It has been suggested that this might have been a prototype of a proposed future Matchbox model which was eventually not issued, but there is no proof for that assumption.

The selection of Superfast models shown also varied, together with many minor differences in the picture and text arrangements, resulting in a large quantity of different variations of this ad.
