Released in 1980, Electronic Guzzlers was a line of 7 motorized toy vehicles that used ordinary tap water as “fuel.” Each Guzzler set included a vehicle, a fuel can, a drain pan with sponge, a rubber band “tire,” a battery cover, and a sheet of decorative labels. Operation required a single 9-volt battery. At launch, Ideal offered four Guzzler styles: a VW Bug, Corvette, truck, and dragster.
