Exogini Seconda Series

GiG | Series

Something Missing?

Given the success of the first series of the Exogini, the second made its appearance around 1988/89.

The logo of the second series is identical to that of the first, so we find the face of the alien even though this time it was all about ninja fighters.

In their features they had nothing to do with the first series and were mostly made of hard rubber. One therefore wonders with what criteria GiG could associate them with the Exogini and market them as a second series, when it would have been enough to use the Kinkeshi molds never published.

The colors were the same as the last ones used for the first series (gray, blue, white, black and purple) and like them they were sold in multicolored bags, each of which reflected the color of the contained piece. Also inside the pyramids you could also find red, big babol pink and transparent fuchsia.

Unlike the first series which had some rare colors, this time the less popular pieces are represented by eight characters printed only in blue, gray and black. In particular we are talking about: Weasel, The two Dwarfs, Labyrinth, Jackal, Tantalus, Earthquake, Pointed Head and Avenger.

Despite everything, however, even the second series has its own charm and has entered the hearts of many collectors.
