Lokalbahn Wien-Baden

The Lokalbahn Wien-Baden, also called Wiener Lokalbahn or Badner Bahn, is a local railway in Greater Vienna and is operated by Wiener Lokalbahnen GmbH (WLB). The company is owned by Wiener Stadtwerke and acts both as a railway infrastructure company and as a railway transport company .

The 15-mile-long railway line runs from the Schedifkaplatz in the 12th district of Vienna, Meidling, to Baden; There it ends on the Josefsplatz. The railway is electrified and expanded except for a 1½ mile single-track section in Baden continuous double- railed. Every day 35,000 people are transported on the Badner Bahn, it is integrated into the Verkehrsverbund Ost-Region (VOR).
